Server & Application Monitor 6.1 Beta 4 installation went well in a standalone setup..I have tried to upgrade SAM in my test lab which has lot of other solarwinds module but got an error that NPM version is 10.6 so in order to upgrade SAM from 6 to 6.1 Beta4,NPM should be on 10.7....Tomorrow,I will configure AppSight for exchange and will advise on the outcome....
Also I would like to know if some server stops responding to SNMP requests then how SAM will alert ?
In other monitoring products(Like CA),I have seen SNMP error notification(whenever a server stops responding to SNMP but ICMP still works) but in NPM or SAM,I haven't seen such options/alerting so can you please advise whether is there any plan to provide such visibility/alerting in next version or so? It might be already present in the toolset which I may not be aware so can you please let me know if this is the case...
